The story behind the Terra Nova Collective
Terra Nova Collective began with one traveller, Edoardo, who noticed a pattern among his friends: everyone wanted to travel meaningfully, but few had the time, structure, or research depth to make it happen.
Edoardo began planning trips for small groups of friends, spending hours sourcing unique experiences, contacting locals, and piecing together routes that balanced culture, nature, and exploration. His itineraries became known for their precision and creativity, from finding remote desert camps through late-night calls with local guides to building optimisation models that minimise transport time on rural roads of Kyrgyztan.
Each trip was built around the same core idea, authentic travel, away from the tourist traps, with routes shaped by local voices and meaningful encounters. The feedback was consistent: these weren’t just holidays, they were journeys that told a story.
Edoardo saw the potential to turn these individual adventures into something bigger. A collective. A space where travellers could share their itineraries, experiences, and insights, and where others could draw inspiration for their own. That idea became Terra Nova Collective, a growing hub for independent explorers who believe in well-defined, intentional travel and want to contribute to a shared repository of the world’s most meaningful journeys.
